Location Scouting & Permits

Finding the place, walking the route and checking what is allowed before the shoot day, then arranging the permissions so the flight plan holds up on location.

A flight plan only works if the place allows it. We find the location, walk the route and check what is allowed before the shoot day, then arrange the permissions so the plan holds up on location.

It saves a shoot day: problems with access, airspace or terrain are found on a recce, not on set.

What is included

  • A recce of the location and the planned route
  • A check of what is allowed at the site
  • Permissions arranged before the shoot day
  • Notes and stills to plan the shots from

Questions.

Do drone shoots in India need permission?
Often, yes. The rules depend on where and what you are filming, and they change, so we check the current requirements for your location rather than assume.
Can you scout a place before we commit to a shoot?
Yes. A recce is a separate step and shows whether the idea is practical at that location.
Who applies for the permissions?
We arrange them as part of the service where we can, and tell you early if the site's owner or an authority needs to approve something directly.
