Data deletion policy.
Last updated 2026-10-28
Your right to ask
You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. This includes enquiries you sent through the contact form, emails, and footage in which you appear.
How to make a request
- Email hi@manmadecinematics.com with the subject line "Data deletion request".
- Tell us your name and the email address you used to contact us, and what you want deleted.
- For footage, describe the project, the date and place if you know them, so we can find it.
- We may ask you to confirm that you are who you say you are before we act, to protect your information from others.
What we will do
- We will confirm that we received your request and aim to complete it within 30 days.
- We will delete your enquiries and the personal information linked to them from our email and records, and ask providers who hold copies on our behalf to do the same where we can.
- For footage, we will remove you from any published material and, where practical, from the files we hold.
- We will tell you when it is done, or explain what we could not delete and why.
What we may need to keep
We may keep limited information when the law requires it or to protect legal rights. This includes invoices and accounting records for a project you commissioned. We keep only what is needed and for as long as required.
Data on your own device
Cookies and the optional device id live in your browser. You can remove them yourself by using Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing site data in your browser. Withdrawing consent deletes the device id right away.
Backups and logs
Copies in backups and server logs are overwritten or expire on a regular schedule. Deleted data may remain there briefly until that happens.
