Creative Collaboration

Joining directors, agencies and studios as the FPV unit: pitching shots, solving tricky moves together and fitting the camera to the story you are telling.

Some shots are easier to find together than to brief. We join directors, agencies and studios as the FPV unit: pitching shots, solving tricky moves and fitting the camera to the story you are telling.

That can start at the treatment stage, with ideas for what a first-person move could add, and carry on through to the shoot day.

What is included

  • Shot ideas at treatment or storyboard stage
  • A feasibility check on the moves you have in mind
  • Working alongside your director and camera team on set
  • Planning the route and the safety of each move
  • Honest advice when another tool suits a shot better

How a shoot runs.

  1. 01

    Brief

You tell us what the film is for, where it will be shot and when.

  2. 02

    Plan

We design each shot, walk the route and check what is allowed.

  3. 03

    Shoot

We fly the planned moves safely, around your schedule and your set.

  4. 04

    Deliver

You receive footage that edits cleanly, or a finished cut.

Questions.

Can you join during pre-production?
Yes, and it helps. Early input shows which moves are worth flying and which are better done another way.
Do you fly a shot the director designed, or propose your own?
Either. We fit the production's structure, whether that means flying a move the director has designed or suggesting one ourselves.
Can we see how a move will work before we shoot?
We can walk through references and the planned route with you in advance. On the shoot day we fly the move and review it with you.
